Collard Group is seeking planning permission for a ready-mixed concrete batching plant at Aldershot Recycling Facility, Hampshire. The concrete plant would be a new operation to accompany the site’s existing inert waste crushing and screening activities and a proposed new waste recycling facility.
The proposed batching plant would be positioned in the south-east corner of the site, next to the railway embankment. A key feature of the scheme is the potential use of recycled aggregates in ready-mixed concrete production. Collard intends to retain its inert recycling operation, creating the opportunity for suitable secondary aggregates, recovered on site, to be fed into future concrete manufacture.
