The report is available in PDF format or as an Excel file. The PDF format is useful as a published document for distribution or ease of reference. The Excel file can be used for analysis by sorting or filtering the data, or for mail merge. The Excel file also includes all schemes from January 2005 to current date. Back copies are also available.

Information is obtained from personal and telephone contact County Councils and local authorities, and monitoring web sites. The original application is included in the report together with the consent (if approved.)

Waste companies subscribe to the report to monitor competitor activity. Suppliers of equipment, products and services use the report to gain new sales leads. As well as the site address, details include a contact office address and telephone number.
