Planning developments for minerals in Northern Ireland

This is a monthly report that monitors planning applications and consents for new minerals. It includes both new schemes and extensions to existing sites. These include sand and gravel pits, limestone, hardstone and sandstone quarries, coal, clay and other minerals. Mineral related developments are also included, such as aggregate bagging plants and asphalt plants. (Aggregates recycling plants are included in a similar report on the waste sector.)

The report is published either as hard copy or by e-mail (in PDF format) on an annual subscription. Back copies are also available.

Information is obtained from personal and telephone contact with local authorities. The original application is included in the report together with the consent (if approved.)

Mineral companies subscribe to the report to monitor competitor activity. Suppliers of equipment, products and services use the report to gain new sales leads. As well as the site address, details include a contact office address and telephone number.

A separate planning report covers Great Britain.
