Database of planned non food retail schemes
The BDS database of non food retail stores includes details of all known schemes picked up in the past five years. It includes both new schemes and extensions to external stores, at any stage of development, from the original application through consent to store opening. Details of nearly 1000 non food stores are included.
The database covers England, Scotland and Wales and can also be made available by individual regions. Information is obtained from personal and telephone contact with local authorities and monitoring Web sites.
The database includes the following information:
Name of developer or operator
Address of site
Details of the scheme - Size of store(s) and other proposals as part of the development
Planning reference numbers
County and local planning authority
Stage of the proposal (Application, Consent, Under construction, etc)
Date of latest development
Schemes can be sorted as required eg: B&Q proposals in Surrey, all consents in the South West, Homebase applications in the West Midlands.
