BDS Marketing Research Ltd is an independent marketing and market research consultancy based in Bath. Established in 1989 by Julian Clapp, the company is now a leading research company offering a range of services to meet clients’ needs in both the public and private sector.

At BDS we recognise that all successful businesses need to have a close understanding of their customers and the marketplace they work in. This applies just as much to service providers in the public sector as it does to companies operating in the private sector.

BDS can complete full surveys or undertake part surveys as required; this can include designing the original questionnaire, carrying out the research, analysis of results and presentation of findings. All projects are managed by Julian and Andy Sales, both Directors of the company. The first step is for us to understand your requirements and prepare a proposal outlining research methods and cost. This is completed without obligation.

Specific published research is available on aggregates, ready mixed concrete, asphalt, concrete products, cement, waste and related sectors. This includes:

- outputs, company market shares and other published surveys on these markets
- monthly reports that monitor planning applications and consents for new schemes
